Could someone please make a little app that would be 'flashing red, green and blue over and over again'.
Maybe with the A button to show a black screen and the B button to show a white screen.

What the heck you ask?

Using color cycling this should be very, very easy to do. If you've got a dev setup, which I don't.
So even if it's not 100% proven to work, it seems to do the trick for some.
Would be realy nice if somebody would take those 15 min to do it.

I got one stuck pixel on my DS, and while it isn't realy bothering me much, the chance of getting rid of it would be nice.

Wow, fixing dead pixels would rock! It seems easy to code for someone experienced like desktopman or doublec. I got a dead pixel on my top screen and it really annoys me!

Yes, a stuck pixel fixer app would be great for the NDS. I had one on my LCD PC monitor and I played the video that was made for the PSP in windows media player and it fixed it!! I was so happy. But I have two stuck pixels on my DS as well.

Sad

So, anyway, i coded the app for you guys... Razz
Havent tested it on hardware (i have no passme yet), but it worked fine in both Dualis and iDeaS, so i think it will run fine. Some feedback on this would be nice though.

Download it HERE (Zipfile with both .nds and .ds.gba files)
Scream out if anybody wants the source, ill be glad to share it... Very Happy

Thanks you very much, Kleevah.

Though it didn't fix my stuck pixel instantly, I'll now be running it for a while, maybe I'll be lucky.

Anyway, you realy made it quite an advanced little tool ...

Kleevah,

Thanks for the app, I have 2 stuck pixels and I left it on last night and it unstuck one of them (I'm leaving it on until it unsticks the other one).

So if anyone is wondering, this app does work, but it can take a while. I have a supercard, and I had to take the .ds.gba file and rename it .nds to get it to work (I tried just using the included .nds file and it didn't work). Very strange.

Thanks again for a great app. I really appreciate it.

The main toolchain for DS is DevKitPro, but as i mentioned i also rely heavily on a library called PA_lib.

However, if you need help to setting things up properly i suggest checking out arogs tutorials, as he covers all the basics. Just follow his guide and youll be up and running in no time! Very Happy

Does anyone still have a copy of this? It doesn't seem to still be up on Kleevah's site. I have one stuck pixel and would like to give it a try, especially since it would help me avoid sending in (and being without) my DS for god knows how long.

I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Ok, that's better. I hadn't previously seen where to register.

Anyway, like I said in my guest post above, I'd really appreciate if someone could get me a copy of this app. Thanks again.
